In this flat we want to pay tribute to the 1965 blockbuster film "The Sound of Music", which achieved 10 Academy Award nominations and won five statuettes, including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actress. Inspired by the life of Maria Augusta von Trapp, it is a love story based on true events that has captivated audiences for years.  Maria Augusta von Trapp, born in 1905, was an Austrian-American singer and author. Growing up in a musical home, Maria showed a natural talent for singing, then studied music at the State College for Progressive Education in Vienna. After becoming a novice at Nonnberg Abbey, Maria was asked to leave and became governess to the von Trapp family. Falling in love with the widower Captain Georg von Trapp, Maria married him and together they formed a renowned group of singers who travelled all over Europe and who, driven by their inexhaustible passion for singing, find solace amidst the chaos of war.   

 This flat is located on the first floor of the Palace (it has 3 floors).  You will be immersed in the extraordinary story of triumph over adversity that will always remind us of the unbreakable strength of the human spirit.  The bedroom has a bed (1,80x2m) for two people, a 32" plasma TV, large wardrobes and a spacious bathroom with an American shower. In the living room you will find a cosy modern space with a sofa that can be converted into a 140m x 190m bed for two people and a 36" plasma TV.  Both the sofa and the armchairs are of design and stand out for their comfort. The modern open plan kitchen is fully equipped with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and complete kitchenware.    

We love the decoration of this flat, which reminds us of the light and colour of the Tyrolean mountains and the original Cuckoo clock from the Bavarian region, in an amusing homage to the film "The Sound of Music".
